Today, I had brunch at C’est La Vie and then went to the beach. The sun was just right and my skin got pink enough. The water’s not warm enough yet. I find it hard to revel in my Sarasota excursions when I want to rip my eyeballs out in traffic. Traffic in this town has never been more terrible. I don’t know what has happened this year, but everything is more… clogged....

Selby Library
Today I went to the library to get a new card. I really can’t tell you the last time I checked out a book. I used to check out books there all the time when I was a kid, even before it had its downtown location. Then I was sucked into the Pine View library, which had books Selby didn’t.
